    Dedolight Scrims

    Scrims are stainless steel wire nets - mounted in a round metal frame - used to reduce light intensity. They neither diffuse nor soften highlights and shadows.

    Three versions are available:
    • Full scrims - Cover the entire light exit.
    • Half scrims - Cover only one-half of the light exit, allowing light reduction on the part of the subject or background that is too bright while leaving the other half of the light exit untouched.
    • Graduated scrims - Approximately one-third of the graduated scrim has no wire net, allowing unhindered light transmission. The next third is covered by a single scrim. The final third has a double scrim. This device creates light fall-off on walls or prevents closer subjects from becoming too bright as they approach the light source.
    • DSCF - Full size scrim, light reduction of 50% (1 stop).
    • DSC1/2 - Reduces light for approximately half angle of light output. 360 degrees rotatable.
    • DSCG - Allows lighting with a gentle blend of three intensities. 360 degrees rotatable.
